In The Beginning...
So we have been squirreling away some photos on Flickr for a while. Finally figured out how to pop a little link up here with the other shop info. So if you have a little time on your hands, feel free to poke around. Some nice shop demolition and renovation pics in there.

Soap Shreddin' the Gnar!
Meet The Dogs.
So for those of you that already know and love the dogs you know what a part of Bicycle Revolutions that they are. Recently we have had a lot of internet visitors from far and wide, so I thought I'd introduce the pups. Lazlo is the goofy puppy in the left of the picture, he will be 2 years old tomorrow! Buda is the handsome man in the right of the photo, he is 7 1/2 now and still won't forgive us for bringing home that crazy puppy. They are very fun and loving, but in their very own special ways. I will now try to keep everybody updated about their adventures now that you have all been formally introduced. And if you find yourselves in philly, I know they would always enjoy new visitors.
Big Rim War rages on...
So a little while ago everyone started buggin out about this chinese company H Plus Son and their Formation Face 42mm deep aluminum clincher rim. Longtime rim manufacturer from down under Velocity takes it even further by manufacturing a 43mm deep rim with a triple wall construction to make it BOMB proof. Well, it seems H Plus Son went back to the drawing board to create the Eero, at 43.3mm deep and 22mm wide with a triple wall. I am a fan of BIG tires, so it is a bonus that this new rim will accommodate them better. But then again the Velocity Chukker will do that superbly. I have to wonder, what is next?

Kazane Track Build
The Kazane track frames arrived at Bicycle Revolutions a little while ago, but I had yet to get one built to show everybody. So while we have some cold winter days to attend to projects I thought I'd have J put one together. Using some wheels I built with some NOS Mavic CXP 30 rims and some Miche Large Flange hubs, a nice Miche track group including the Super Type Seatpost, Tange Levin NJS headset, Nitto B-123 Bars, Nitto Jaguar Stem, Kashimax AX-4A Saddle, Izumi chain and MKS pedals clips and straps. A little dash of white rubber with the Vittoria tires and some track grips to finish it off. This is a pure bred track machine for sure. While this is not an inexpensive build, coming through at $1850, it is relatively modest by some of my personal projects. Trying to inspire but not give people sticker shock...
The Frame itself sells for $600 and is available in 5 sizes and 6 colors. We can custom build yours to suit your wants and needs, or help you swap some nice parts from your old frame. Either way it is a very handsome steed upon which you will ride very, very fast.
New Bailey Bag, Just In
Messenger bags are a great way to carry all of your loot, and often that includes your laptop and fancy smart phone. So Bailey works has introduced a new bag for just that purpose, the Digital Super Pro.
They took everyone's favorite bag - the Super Pro - and added a compartment for your computer as well as a roomy phone case on the shoulder strap.
It can accommodate a 17" laptop and an iphone or blackberry will fit easily. We have it in the boutique in medium for $220 and large for $230 so come over and get one.

Wednesday!
Wednesdays here are Bicycle Revolutions are guys' days. Unless someone has to take a personal day, the staff consists of Bryan, myself (Ian), J, and Gabriel (and FYI - we're all Virgos, so keep that in mind come late August!). As some of you may remember from Bryan's post last week, I've taken to wearing bow ties as of late. Wouldn't you know it, but I'm wearing one again, and wouldn't you know it, but I was having a conversation with J, and we kinda sorta joked that Wednesdays should be tie day.
Well, in order to flex my muscle as a blog author and give you readers a chance to put a word in, I went ahead and made a poll! Let us know what you think!
Should Wednesdays be anti-casual (e.g. tie-wearing) Wednesdays?

Winter Shop Projects
So after installing some new displays and shuffling everything around, an exciting game I like to call Bike Shop Tetris. We have tons of new stuff out and about for your shopping pleasure. It is so exciting to see the shop continually evolving beyond my wildest expectations.
You probably never knew we had so many tires
So we have been keeping ourselves busy by cleaning up and organizing the shop, we have been doing a lot of remerchandising. The end result is that we have tons of things out on display that usually live in boxes in the back room. So you might come in and find things you never thought we had before. SO MANY TIRES!
Some Panaracers, Maxxis, Michelin, WTB, Hutchinson, Schwalbe, Continental, Vittoria...
Halo, NYC Tour, More Continentals, More Vittoria's
Megs putting everything in it's new place.
Stylin New Front Rack from Gamoh
Colin's Steamroller is now for some tailgating action at the Phillies home opener!
A Very Proper Bike Mechanic
Ian was apparently feeling very dapper today, sporting his Bow Tie! He was very proud that he learned to tie it all by himself. Bike mechanics shouldn't wear regular ties anyway, they would definitely get caught in the chain. Maybe this should be the new BRevs dress code, what do you think?

The Human Powered Roller Coaster, aka The Alley Cats Scramble
This was frickin' amazing, I raced on it twice 1997 and 1998. I got to race the finals on Halloween while Fishbone played! So many huge crashes...They don't build them like this anymore.

A classic reincarnated.
This bike stumbled into our shop a little while ago for some long overdue lovin. It was once the beloved bike of Mr. John Eustice US Pro Champ 1982. He passed it along to one of the junior racers he was coaching in the late 80's. Paul, the current owner and former pupil of Eustice, had raced the crap out of it and had long since retired it. Paul decided to fixer up as a single speed to ride about town. I happened to run into John at interbike and told him that the bike was in my shop and was being repurposed. Needless to say he was jealous and wanted it back, I guess that's between them now. I love little pieces of bike history like this, thought i'd share it with you tonight.

Masi Speciale Fixed 2010 models in stock!
So we already told you that the 2009 models were on sale, and this is why. We received the 2010 Masi Spaciale Fixed models at the end of last week!
2010: A Shop Odyssey
The new year is well underway - almost 3 weeks! - and yet I am just now getting this posted. Pardon my vacationing and general laziness.
While 2009 was quite a year for us here at Bicycle Revolutions, we are happy to bid it adieu. We experienced continued growth in every way. We added a bunch of great new staff – Megan, J, and Gabriel. Our long time, much beloved, shop monkey Ian is now a full time student. While we are super proud and excited for him, we miss having him at the shop every day. We expanded what we carry for just about everything imaginable. More bikes, more components, more accessories, and more clothing. Oh, and we opened the boutique. All in all this past year has been very full. But man 2010 – it’s gonna be the bee’s knees!
There is so much exciting stuff coming up. We will fill you in on all of the little details as things roll out, but here are some highlights. Bikes and Frames – we’ve got lots of them coming! The Linus bikes are new for Spring, great new All City frames, crazy cool stuff from Affinity, and more. There is an amazing new frame project that we are going to be telling you all about in the next month or two, but Bryan is keeping it hush hush for now. He might explode so look for him to be leaking bits of that soon. As for the accessories, lots of new stuff there too. We just became a swrve dealer and have some of their really nice Milwaukee jackets and hiding hoodies in stock. Look for more swrve items coming up in the next months and also a blog post on the stuff we have. Next week we are getting our shipment of loot from Pedaler Clothing. We have been anxiously awaiting this stuff for months and can’t wait to have it in our hands. I will definitely be featuring those items on the blog in the near future. Also, we will will be resurrecting our 4th Friday openings. We have a party planned for February - so hooray for that!
So stay tuned for more details on all of this stuff and plenty more. Here’s to a fantastic 2010!

My Affinity LoPro
I met Jason from Affinity Cycles At InterBike in September. I was blown away by the bikes they were producing. It didn't hurt that they all seemed to be good people.
Initially we have been building some sweet LoPro framesets, for some of our favorite BRevs Characters. Soap, Gerald and Shan.
So I just couldn't resist building one for myself, as some of you might already know, this bike shop thing is just a resource for my bike geekdom...
