New Wheels For My Big Block!

Posted my initial build for this back in August, finally got around to building the proper wheels for it this week. Jeffey from All-City got me some New Sheriff hubs, and I laced em up to the Velo-Orange PBP rims.

I had some fun with the front wheel, lacing it three leading/ three trailing (36h)

And a nice traditional three cross for the rear. Bike is all "finished" now, some fresh New-Xpress tires (700c x 28mm) in the new Green/Skin color.

Ready for the House Party Cat 3D, maybe...

Chris' New Cinelli Gazzetta!

One of our favorite health care professionals, Chris Fox, decided to treat himself to a new track bike this spring. He saw my earlier post about the new Cinelli Gazzetta framesets and headed on down to get him one and plan the build.

I was super excited to build him another bike and to use some modern yet classic pieces to make it proper.

I built him some Velocity Aero rims to some Halo Track hubs for a very clean and classic wheelset. The Aero rims are one of my all time favorites, they remind me of the old Araya and Wolber track rims. A really sweet wheelset if I say so myself. I am building two pairs of these rims courtesy of Velocity and All-City as prizes for the Maypril Fools Ride!

Drop bars, cloth tape and Challenge Skinwall tires, and a Turbo saddle!

This is one smooth ride, thanks a lot Chris for letting me put this one together for you.

Now Carrying Velo Orange Products

I have been seeing some really nice Velo Orange products for a while now. I finally sent them an email about becoming a dealer yesterday. I got a reply with the necessary instructions and next thing ya know, we are a VO dealer!

They are known for classic, simple products. Stuff that would have been easy to find 20 years ago, but now you will pay dearly for on the e-bay.

Being a wheel builder, I was very excited to see their PBP rim. A classic box section rim in polished silver with stainless steel eyelets.

Classic design, quality finish, and affordably priced at $50each. I will be building up a set soon enough, just need to figure out what I am putting them on.

I will post more goodies as we get them unpacked. Stems, Seatposts, Headsets, Bottom Brackets, Racks... Nice stuff.
