---------

Just want to clarify some points based on questions we've had:

1.) The naked bike riders are mostly background footage. We WILL NOT be spending time focusing on individuals nor will we see any genitalia - just a bunch of butts. Most of the shots will feature Dave End and Emily Baker from Gender Mountain performing the Queen song, "Bicycle Race" in the foreground and obscure the bike riders.

2.) You don't REALLY have to be naked. For the male-identified folks we will give you Fabric Horse fanny packs and utility belts and such to put in front of your "crotch parts". You can also wear small covering that won't be noticed by the camera. You can bring your own or we can provide.

3.) For the thirty male-identified folks we welcome any and ALL body sizes, ages, and looks!!

4.) For the folks in the end of the video. You do not need to be naked but fun scantily clad or naked is preferred but we will not refuse anyone who wants to participate.

5.) No one will be standing around for the whole day naked. We only need people naked or "appearing naked" when the camera is rolling which will be in very short bursts throughout the day. When the camera is off you can put your clothes on.

6.) We're glad so many people are interested!! THIS WILL BE SUPER FUN!!!!!

REMEMBER TO EMAIL: info@fabrichorse.com to confirm your participation!

Shark Week Trick Jam @ Water Street

Shark Week has been reeking havoc all over Philly once again, last night at Water Street was no exception. Drew got worked pretty hard by his handle bars, and Soap got impaled by the fence.

Apparently the fence was none too pleased to have Soap hitting it, so it bit back. Once again he went big and won the main prize.

Here is Soap again hitting the kicker for some BIG AIR!

More Gary Photos, and lots more on his Flikr
Ronnie Getting mad air and taking second prize for most consistent.

Drew got his head chopped off but getting way up over the kicker.

Philly has been jammin for the past couple of weeks, it has been too much fun. Hard to believe how much has happened since last year's Shark Week Trick Competition.

SQUID

The Man The Myth, nuff said.

Check out his event next weekend, it is sure to be epic.

CHECKPOINT!

Jeff and I hung out with Wilis while he worked the checkpoint for the BFF alleycat last saturday. Here are a couple of pics I snapped of the racers coming through.

Last but never least Felpie 'The King"

Strolling around NYC

Just a few random pics I grabbed while strolling around NYC during BFF.

Bike Jerk!

We had another very "special" visitor this week, Jeff from Bike Jerks and ALL CITY! We rendezvoused in NYC for the Bike Film Fest, more about that later, and then he rolled back with me to Philly.

He had never been to Philly and wanted to check out the scene and visit the shop.

His Dropout received an honorary BRevs seal of approval.

And then I found this in his goodie bag when I was packing up his bike to ship home. Some fancy new premium ALL CITY double straps. Laminated and stitched for super stiffness. These will be a nice affordable alternative to the other premium double straps.

Good times were had, beers drank and bikes ridden.

A Night At The Theatre!

Ride your bike to the Arden Theatre on July 2nd for FREE valet bike parking and 2 for 1 tickets!
Enjoy the final performance of Sunday in the Park with George.

Eric has been documenting the shenanigans down at Water St. for several weeks, I think his interview with JP pretty much sums it up...

Gus's SE Prototype

As I mentioned previously, a whole crew was making their way from Texas to NYC and stopped by for a visit yesterday. Gus Molina was riding his new SE: UsVsThem prototype. So I grabbed a couple of quick pics to share.

That is one BIG ASS bike for one HEALTHY DUDE. He was definitely giving it a workout last night at FDR.

Don't Mess With Texas

So the Cultur Club rolled through yesterday, not Boy George and posse but the misfit bike road trip making their way from Texas to NYC for the Bicycle Film Festival.

And as ambassadors for the city of Brotherly Love, some of the Sweathogs were showing them around.

This ragtag crew was rolling deep, can't imagine what their van smells like.

Not a bad pile of bikes, I think there is at least one of everything in there.

Including Gus Molina's prototype SE: UsVsThem, more on that later.

Welcome to PHILLY guys! There was a sweet late nite session at FDR complete with generators, it was out of control. More from Lockedcog HERE. Enjoy more riding today and see y'all in NYC.

The Big Race!

Sunday was race day, the 26th running of the Philadelphia International Cycling Championship. Known for many years locally as "The Core States Race" and formerly the US Pro Championship. I have had the pleasure of attending the race for the past 15 years and Heather and I have attended together for the past 12 years. Needless to say it is a huge Philly tradition and a personal milestone.

Our crew holding it down on Lemon Hill, Lazlo, Heather, Sara and Patty.

Jason and Leah enjoying some jerky.

To say Tony was a HOT MESS would be an understatement...

By the end of the day everyone was pretty whipped, Lazlo melted into the grass.

Of yeah and a bunch of dudes raced in 90f heat for 156 miles over 6 hours. And Matt Goss from Australia representing team HTC-Colombia took the big prize.

Always a great day, hope to see you there next year!

Here Is The Latest Effort From The SWEATHOGS, Killin' It In The Two One Five!

Philly Mix Tape 4 from Drew Leshko on Vimeo.

Here ya go boys.

Ol' Faithful

I finally got around to making some upgrades to my Park TS2 today. I have had this for about 15 years now, it is definitely the best investment I have ever made. It might not be Apple stock but it will have to do.

When I originally purchased it in 1995ish I was dismayed to find out that it did not include a base, what good is it if it doesn't hold itself up? So Otis, my mentor, gave me this old home made wooden base so that I would stop whining. I have loved it and cherished it ever since. I propped it up on a piece of 2x4 to get a better angle as it was not adjustable and then drilled some holes in it to fit a bottle of Tri-Flow and a bottle of Loc-Tite. A few years ago though the round bottle of Tri-Flow I have been refilling for years finally broke, and I have now modified it to fit the goofy oval shaped bottle. Sometimes we must evolve, like it or not. And I also just fitted it with a sweet Schwinn friction shifter, for when I need to build wheels in high gear!

Here you see my custom spoke wrench holders, and my newly fitted custom Crane brass bell. It allows me to celebrate the birth of new wheels with a lovely ding ding.

Now I am ready for many more years of happy wheel building.
